Job Title: Grain Operator
Job Description
As a Grain Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient handling and storage of grain shipments. Your role involves receiving, inspecting, and managing both incoming and outgoing grain loads, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
Responsibilities
+ Perform inspection and receiving tasks such as weighing trucks and gathering product samples.
+ Assist with loading grains onto rail cars and trucks.
+ Operate and maintain various equipment including loaders, skid steers, track mobiles, fork trucks, and manual equipment such as shovels and grease guns.
+ Perform general housekeeping tasks including bin cleanouts and equipment cleaning.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to work comfortably in all conditions and at heights.
+ Physical capability to lift 50-75lbs independently throughout the shift.
+ Willingness to learn new parts of the job, including maintenance on various equipment.
+ Commitment to performing general housekeeping of work area and equipment.
+ Steel toes are required; all other personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in farming, construction, or production work.
+ Forklift, packaging, bagging, material handling, general production, and stacking experience is advantageous.
+ Candidates with a experience in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or agricultural roles are preferred.
+ Prior fork truck experience is helpful.
Available Shift & Pay
+ 1st shift: 7:30am - 4pm, days might extend to 12 hours depending on loading and unloading
+ **$17 - $22 based on experience**

Work Environment
The facility is completely enclosed but not temperature-controlled, requiring some outdoor work, especially during warmer seasons. The standard shift is from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, but loading/unloading days may extend to 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. A comfortable work attire is required, with steel-toed footwear being mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delphi, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
