Job Title: Overhead Door Technician

Job Description

As an Overhead Door Technician, you will be responsible for installing and aligning overhead doors, tracks, panels, and automatic openers. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including springs, cables, rollers, and motors. Additionally, you will perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on door systems, provide accurate estimates, and explain repair options to customers. You will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure timely resolution, while maintaining compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

+ Install and align overhead doors, tracks, panels, and automatic openers.

+ Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including springs, cables, rollers, and motors.

+ Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on door systems.

+ Provide accurate estimates and explain repair options to customers.

+ Respond to emergency service calls and ensure timely resolution.

+ Maintain compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Labor and construction skills.

+ Mechanical aptitude and knowledge.

+ Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.

+ Experience with sheet metal and carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 6 months construction experience.

+ Valid Driver's License.

+ Ability to lift 75 lbs.

+ Comfortable working from a lift 20ft+ in the air.

This is a Contract position based out of Iowa Falls, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
