Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to ensure the setup, operation, and monitoring of machinery and equipment are conducted safely and productively. You will be responsible for quality testing of products, using proper raw materials, packaging finished products, performing minor maintenance on machines, and completing all necessary paperwork. Meeting or exceeding standards for quality and production is essential, and being part of a team environment by assisting others is a must. You will also assist OP1's with parts by making labels and preparing them for Shipping & Receiving.

Responsibilities

+ Setup and operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.

+ Conduct quality testing and ensure proper raw material usage.

+ Package finished products and perform minor machine maintenance.

+ Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.

+ Assist team members and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

+ Support OP1's with part labeling and preparation for Shipping & Receiving.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience with CNC, Plastic Injection, or Press machines.

+ Proficiency in documenting production, preferably using computer systems.

+ Quality experience beyond visual inspection, including blueprint and First piece last piece inspection.

+ Experience with gauges and micrometers.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and assist operators as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in general labor, machine operation, hand tools, quality inspection, production, assembly, and inspection.

+ Familiarity with mechanical blueprints and general production practices.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and bright manufacturing environment that, while sometimes dirty, hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and greasy, is generally positive. Safety and care are paramount to prevent injuries. Openings available on the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with a requirement to work weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
