Job Title: Cell Therapy Aseptic Operator
Job Description
The role of Cell Therapy Aseptic Operator involves assisting in clean room qualification by helping to burden clean rooms for testing. You will run supplies and materials as needed for clean room operation and processing, and perform aseptic gowning to enter the clean room for qualification purposes. The position requires working within manufacturing to help process cells and samples, and using aseptic technique to process cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products. Previous GMP practices and adherence to SOPs are essential, as is experience within a cellular facility.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in clean room qualification by burden cleaning rooms for testing.
+ Run supplies and materials as needed for clean room operation and processing.
+ Perform aseptic gowning to enter clean rooms for qualification.
+ Work within manufacturing to process cells and samples.
+ Process cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products using aseptic technique.
+ Adhere to GMP practices and follow SOPs.
+ Perform processing and testing required to produce and assess safe and efficacious products.
+ Support clinical trials.
+ Prepare stem cells and perform cell/tissue culture.
+ Work with batch records, cell expansions, volume reductions, depletions, and enrichments.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in aseptic operation and pharmaceutical environments.
+ Previous experience working within a biology lab, either academic or industry.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
+ Previous lab gowning experience.
+ Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.
+ Skill in working within a clean room environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree within biology or related scientific field is a plus.
+ Previous experience working within a cell-based biology lab, either academic or industry.
+ Previous experience working with aseptic technique.
Work Environment
+ The work environment is a clinical manufacturing lab where flexibility on shift is required. Initially, the training schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm for the first 2-3 months.
+ Once permanent, the work schedule will be Thursday-Friday and Sunday-Monday, consisting of four ten-hour shifts.
+ Candidates must be open to working weekends and both first and second shifts, with potential shifts as late as 2:30am.
+ The arrival time for shifts may be communicated the day before.
+ The role involves working in a clean room environment and requires wearing aseptic gowns.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.78/hr.
