    Overview

     

    We are seeking a licensed Project Architect to lead design efforts on a large-scale, multi-phase healthcare expansion. This role includes new inpatient tower construction, infrastructure upgrades, seismic retrofitting, and renovations—all while maintaining active hospital operations. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where technical precision and design excellence are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead design efforts on complex healthcare expansion projects.

    + Oversee inpatient tower construction, infrastructure upgrades, and seismic retrofitting.

    + Manage renovations while ensuring active hospital operations remain uninterrupted.

    + Coordinate with teams, consultants, and stakeholders for successful project execution.

    + Ensure compliance with building codes, specifications, and construction administration standards.

    Required Qualifications

    + Licensed Architect.

    + 5+ years of experience in architecture with a strong focus on inpatient healthcare design (10+ years preferred).

    + Proficiency in Revit; experience with Rhino + Grasshopper and Adobe Suite is a plus.

    + Strong technical expertise in codes, specs, and construction documentation.

    + LEED GA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

    + One additional sustainability credential within a year (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, Passive House).

    + Must have Seattle industry experience.

    Preferred Skills

    + Advanced knowledge of building codes and permitting processes.

    + Strong stakeholder management and team coordination skills.

    + Familiarity with architectural design tools and construction administration.

    Disqualifiers

    + No architectural license.

    + Less than 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare architecture.

    + No inpatient healthcare design experience.

    + Lack of proficiency in Revit.

    + No Seattle industry experience.

    + Frequent short-term job changes (job-hopping).

    Work Environment

    Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote work Wednesday and Friday. Occasional offsite meetings may affect weekly routine. Flexibility is key.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
