    Job Title: Civil Transportation Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Civil Transportation Engineer to join our team, working on municipal and public work projects. This position offers the flexibility to advance into a Project Management role or focus on production, depending on your career aspirations. Whether you are pursuing or already possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license, this role provides a platform for professional growth and project involvement from inception to completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform quantity calculations and design computations.

    + Engage in geometric design of transportation infrastructure.

    + Design roadways and adhere to INDOT processes and procedures.

    + Conduct traffic signal and lighting design.

    + Design drainage systems, including pipe sizing, inlet spacing, and culvert design, and manage permitting.

    + Coordinate utilities effectively.

    + Observe and monitor construction to ensure conformance with contract documents and approved materials.

    + Maintain field observations, oversee contractor's quality control, and verify construction quality.

    + Make field measurements, computations, and maintain records of acceptable work.

    + Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.

    + 4+ years of experience in transportation engineering.

    + Ability and commitment to obtain a PE license within a year (candidates with a PE license are highly preferred).

    + Proficiency in Civil 3D.

    + Experience in stormwater and drainage design.

    + Knowledge of roadway and transportation design.

    + Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Ability to use AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

    + Familiarity with local and state government regulations and standards.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $72.12/hr.
