We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Associate Director for our Central Region, encompassing Kansas and Iowa. This pivotal position requires a candidate who is either based in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City area, with Urbandale, IA as an alternative location. The role offers competitive compensation and a substantial sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee the overall performance of the Central Region (KS/IA), ensuring alignment with operational, client, and technical goals.
+ Manage personnel across the Engineering, Testing, and Drilling divisions within the region.
+ Make decisions related to facilities, office engagement, local marketing, and other regional matters.
+ Monitor financial performance by analyzing current and future activities, costs, and operational efficiency, providing regular feedback.
+ Ensure efficient resource use, cost structure, and service delivery, while developing plans for continuous improvement.
+ Develop and achieve regional goals related to net revenue, operating cash, key hires, business development, client selection, project delivery, safety, and client service.
+ Evaluate employee performance and establish goals for enhancing technical and project management skills.
+ Manage the personnel mix to achieve office goals, including recruiting, hiring, and terminations.
+ Collaborate with employees at all levels, especially unit managers and marketing staff, to set client-related pursuits and marketing goals.
+ Direct client contracting in accordance with the Authority Grant Policy.
+ Monitor project management skills related to financial performance and client retention.
+ Encourage and support a collaborative work environment that promotes cross-functional, multi-discipline teams.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
+ Capable of responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community.
+ Proven ability to manage success and conflict within teams, supporting the organization's best interests.
+ Understanding of internal systems and practices with the ability to train, manage, and adhere to them.
+ Effective leadership in both small and large groups through a service/servant leadership style.
+ Ability to lead by example, embodying core values: Safety, Service, Opportunity, Ownership, and Recognition.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and ten+ years of related industry experience and/or training.
+ Professional Licensure in Engineering preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $118500.00 - $177000.00/yr.
