We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to oversee a significant project in the utility sector. This role involves managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the single point of contact for the utility service provider, managing all utility scope including transmission, distribution, and substation.
+ Facilitate regular design and site progress meetings at least once a week, potentially via teleconference.
+ Provide a detailed contact matrix outlining the division of responsibility for all utility groups involved.
+ Ensure all utility and substation scope is signed off by relevant Energy Project Managers as part of the FCA.
+ Issue project drawings for client review and approval, using the latest AutoCAD and BIM360 for design efforts.
+ Document and track all tasks necessary to ensure project completion in line with the schedule.
+ Inform Energy Project Managers of any missed scope and verify all work is within scope before proceeding.
+ Track purchase orders and report on funding status, establishing budgets and cost estimates including contingencies.
+ Publish and maintain a detailed project schedule, establishing critical path activities and reporting progress weekly.
+ Maintain quality management through weekly site walks and ensure compliance with utility specifications.
+ Submit and coordinate energization safety plans, ensuring safety is prioritized and managed effectively.
Essential Skills
+ 10+ years of experience in power utility project management.
+ Strong background in utility construction and easement management.
+ Proficiency in program and project management, particularly in the power and utilities sector.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with utilities is essential.
+ Ability to manage adversity with flexibility and organization.
+ Strong performance indicators include the quality of work.
Work Environment
This role is based in San Antonio, TX, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The work environment involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires travel to project sites for regular inspections and meetings. The project utilizes technologies such as AutoCAD and BIM360 for design coordination. Safety is a paramount value, and appropriate safety protocols must be followed at all times.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $81.00 - $91.00/hr.
