Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer
Job Description
The Echocardiography Specialist performs high-quality echocardiograms on pediatric and adult congenital patients following IAC-approved protocols. The role includes completing reports with physician input, ensuring patient and family comfort, and contributing to a supportive care environment. Additionally, the specialist teaches echocardiography techniques and interpretation to Pediatric Cardiology Fellows, students, and families, fostering growth and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
+ Perform all aspects of echocardiography exams with consistent quality.
+ Operate sonography equipment with technical proficiency.
+ Engage in teaching and mentoring activities.
+ Participate in research and quality improvement projects.
+ Complete administrative tasks and maintain compliance with departmental standards.
+ Follow protocols for equipment cleaning and PHI security.
+ Demonstrate leadership behaviors and support team members.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in cardiac, cardiovascular, and pediatric echocardiography.
+ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification.
+ BLS certification.
+ Extensive knowledge of cardiac pathology and pediatric echo studies.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound Program.
+ Minimum of 5 years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
+ Registered Pediatric Sonographer or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer certification within two years of hire.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Passion for working with pediatric patients and families.
Work Environment
The candidate will work days from 7:30 AM - 5 PM with rotating schedules and staggered starts, including occasional on-call weekends and nights. On-call duties will be compensated for both being on-call and if called in. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient care. Local travel is required. The work environment is collaborative, focusing on impactful work with pediatric and adult patients.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $83200.00/yr.
