    Job Title: HD Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

     

    We are seeking motivated HD Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the pharmacy profession while contributing to patient care and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities

    + Unit dosing solid dosage medications into blister packs.

    + Labeling unit-of-use packaging for patient-specific use.

    + Pouring liquid medications into unit-of-use packaging.

    + Preparing non-sterile compounds.

    + Filling daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

    + Assisting in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposing per procedure.

    + Prepacking frequently ordered medications, labeling, and storing, as needed during low volume times.

    + Packaging materials and products manually.

    + Pulling/picking medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks).

    + Applying labels to blister cards and then scanning products for accuracy check.

    + Alerting the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.

    + Maintaining designated workstation areas and replenishing all stock supplies needed.

    + Following all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

    + Complying with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician Registration (must be obtained by hire date).

    + Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

    + Eagerness to learn about the pharmacy profession.

    + Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.

    + Commitment to patient and customer care.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are Monday to Friday, 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM and every other weekend from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected. The team consists of HD Pharmacy Technicians, Senior HD Pharmacy Technicians, and the Supervisor of HD Pharmacy Operations. The position requires compliance with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

    This is a Contract position based out of Franklin, New Jersey.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
