Actalent is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. This person will be responsible for the following:

Job Description

+ Reviews and evaluates sales order requirements\specifications to configure and\or develop solutions

+ Works with Sales and potentially the customer to resolve requirements

+ Works with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings

+ Acts as the technical lead on assigned projects

+ Works with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during start up to resolve issues

+ Works with Sales and Applications Engineering

+ Approves project release to Manufacturing

+ Works with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build\test

+ Work as part of a project team to deliver cost effective, manufacturable designs

+ Provide updates on project status and timeline

Must Have

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required

+ 5+ years in some of the following:

+ Designing and developing electro mechanical equipment

+ Designing sheet metal products

+ Experience with development, design and engineering of mechanical\electrical systems using both 2Dand 3D CAD software (Creo preferred)

+ Experience with OEM design activities

+ Experience with bill of materials (BOMs)

+ Experience with casting, compressors, pumps and/or motors

+ Project management experience

Nice to Have

+ Electrical testing experience

+ Knowledge in noise attenuation (fan silencers)

+ Customer interfacing experience

+ Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience

+ Understanding of seismic, wind and vibration calculations

Work Environment

Recently opened a new office near the manufacturing facility. They will be working on a team with a dozen engineers. 90% of their day will be spent at a desk. 10% will be on the floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seven Hills, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
