Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with excellent customer service and computer skills. This role offers the potential for a permanent position and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. The position involves low volume specimen collection, approximately 10 specimens, and provides an opportunity to work with a well-known diagnostic company.

Responsibilities

+ Provide exceptional customer service and be the face of the company.

+ Perform skilled blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

+ Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and more.

+ Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner.

+ Process billing information and collect payments as required.

+ Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

+ Maintain detailed logs of patient and specimen information.

+ Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

+ Travel to additional sites when needed.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

+ Proficiency in blood draw and specimen collection.

+ Strong customer service skills.

+ Competency in computer skills and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.

+ Experience with specimen processing and billing information.

+ Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.

Work Environment

This role involves routine lab work, primarily serving a patient base ranging from teenagers to geriatrics. The work environment can get busy in the afternoon, requiring good computer skills and the ability to work independently. The volume of work ranges between 25-30 specimens a day. The position is Monday to Friday, with working hours from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm. The role may transition from temporary to permanent, offering growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
