    Position summary:

    The Shipper Services Scheduler Analyst I provides nomination analysis and pipeline-to-pipeline confirmations, working with peers and the Supervisor/Manager of Transportation Services to optimize and accurately manage Shipper activities on BHE transmission pipeline systems. The Analyst I will gain or strengthen their understanding of the basic movement of natural gas, become familiar with electronic bulletin boards and internal tracking systems, and will be expected to track shipper nomination activity throughout a production month and assist with month-end pipeline close processes.

     

    Pay Range:This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

     

    Level I:$61,500 – $92,400

     

    Level II:$66,950 - $100,500

     

    Senior:$79,400 - $119,100

     

    Reporting Relationship:Shipper Services Supervisor

    Essential Functions:

    o Performs routine and non-routine natural gas confirmations with interconnecting upstream pipelines, & gas allocation duties under general supervision, on Company natural gas transmission pipelines.

    o Monitors nominated vs. flowing volumes to address variances on Company’s natural gas transmission pipelines.

    o Tracks Shipper compliance with all terms of Company’s utility and pipeline tariffs and reports identified non-compliance activity to Supervisor/Manager.

    o Responsible for learning the operational and commercial aspects of the Tariffs governing Company owned natural gas pipelines.

    o Gains a working knowledge of pipeline operations, including, but not limited to, constraints, interconnects, and balancing rules.

    o Manages processes with users of electronic transportation management system(s) known as Quorum Pipeline Transaction Management system (“QPTM”).

    o Performs month-end closing tasks including actualization of Shipper and Choice Gas activity on BHE pipeline systems, under general supervision. Interacts closely with Supervisor/Manager and with internal accounting and third party Shippers to help resolve any discrepancies that arise in monthly settlement.

    o Participates in weekend and evening on-call coverage as needed.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    o Maintains a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance. Must also be able to maintain performance expectations under stressful conditions, including deadline-based activities.

    o Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, management and external stakeholders.

    o Must be able to work non-traditional hours (including some weekends/holidays).

    o Required to carry a company provided cell phone (or receive partial reimbursement on personal cell phone) and be available to respond during working and non-working hours, and especially related to company emergencies, including weather events.

    What Is Required:

    Level I:

    o High school diploma or equivalent.

    o Ability to write and communicate effectively.

    o Deals with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.

    o Able to maintain performance expectations under stressful conditions, including deadline-based activities.

    Level II:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of work preferred (e.g. in the discipline of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Economics).

    • Minimum of 3 years of coordinating or scheduling materials movement or natural gas related experience required.

    Senior:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum of 5 years of coordinating or scheduling materials movement experience.

    • Experience with natural gas transportation activity and knowledge of interstate or LDC pipelines.

    • Knowledge of natural gas scheduling and the utility industry.

    What Is Desired:

    o Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of work preferred (e.g. in the discipline of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Economics).

    o Natural gas scheduling experience.

    o Experience in the natural gas industry.

    o Utility industry experience.
