    Job Summary

    Lead a team of Material Coordinator personnel to support DEV’s Electric Transmission organization. This includes materials management, workflow & systems, warehousing requirements, and logistics of inventoried and project materials.

     

    Ensure compliance with Supply Chain (SC) policies and procedures. Possess a familiarity with industry regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as an understanding of the unique challenges and risks involved in managing materials within the Electric Transmission. Coach and direct teams to improve upon key SC objectives of innovation, automation, quality, risk, business continuity, and cost considerations. Develop and maintain relationships with assigned business units to facilitate understanding of business needs and SC requirements. Develop and maintain strong working relationship with key supplier leadership. Assist in forecasting material requirements, prioritization, and implementation of solutions. Work with MRP to monitor and adjust inventory to maximize accessibility. Manage compliance with SCM policies, SOX requirements, and internal controls. Monitor and evaluate SC risks – including critical materials, suppliers, external threats. Effectively optimize inventory by developing and implementing new strategies, systems and processes, as well as evaluating and upgrading what is currently being used. Support DE in delivering Strategic Objectives, taking responsibility for engaging with business units to ensure a teaming approach throughout the procurement lifecycle.

     

    Develop and implement on-boarding plans for all hires. Seek opportunities to develop individual contributors through personalized goals and objectives. Establish metrics to monitor performance and manage workload across the team. Ensure quality and competency within the SC is maintained at expected standards to ensure good value, minimization of rework, and all compliance requirements.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

    5+ years of direct related Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience

    + Strong experience with SAP

    + Applicable SCM reporting skills

    + Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for State & Federal legal and environmental regulations

    + Thorough knowledge of SCM principles

    + Solid understanding of inventory optimization techniques and inventory management, materials, equipment purchasing, and transportation

    + Knowledge of warehousing procedures and methodologies, including industry guidelines and standards

    + Leadership skills

    + Ability to train, lead, and direct others

    + Employee management skills

    + Teaming and organization skills

    + Oral and written communication skills

    + Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and external personnel

    + Ability to apply good business judgment in stressful situations

    + Negotiation skills

    + Proficient personal computer skills

    + Ability to deal with rapid changes in technology and business operations

    + Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

    + Ability to maintain internal relationships in a geographically dispersed and diverse organization

    Education Requirements

    Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

    Bachelor

     

    Preferred Disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering
