The RDS Project Manager will be a subject matter expert responsible for implementing Omnicell’s robotic dispensing system solutions in NHS and private hospitals.
You will report to the Omnicell Director of Operations and Professional Services for UK Hospital and will be managing a range of concurrent projects, from “simple” outpatient robotic systems to larger, multi-robot, multi-module, “complex”, centralised hub robot rollouts. The role encompasses pre-sale and delivery lifecycle aspects including supporting design visits, analysing a pharmacy’s supply chain process and querying customer workflows and interfacing requirements and then recommending and ultimately delivering and commissioning ‘lean’, efficient Omnicell automation solutions.
This position is an exciting and varied role and the responsibilities include, but are by no means restricted to:
+ project planning
+ working to project related processes
+ maintaining documentation
+ organising and leading project meetings
+ coordinating internal resources and sub-contractor commitments
+ ensuring site readiness for hardware and delivery installation and
+ supporting testing and commissioning and
+ handover of the live solution to the service team
Experience and Qualifications
Full training will be given so no specific product experience is required however the following skills, experience and qualifications are sought:
• Working in a supply chain, logistics, robotics, stock control, purchasing or procurement role
• Experience of working in Healthcare, particularly NHS or Private hospitals
• Experience of implementing robotic dispensing systems or solutions within these fields
• Working within structured project management systems
• Understanding and experience of process analysis methods such as process mapping to re-design and improve an operation and working in a lean methods and practices environment
• Excellent computer skills, particularly in Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Excel are essential. Experience of interface design, databases and networks is desirable
• Ideally educated to degree level (preferably Engineering, IT or Business related). Any professional qualifications such as Prince2, Six Sigma and CIPS would also beneficial.
The role will require frequent travel to hospitals across the UK and there will be occasional nights away from home. Depending on workload, there may also be some opportunity for some foreign travel for project management and regional staff training/support.
The job offers competitive salary pro-rata and the use of a company car for the duration of this 6 month temporary contract.
