The Opportunity
Smurfit WestRock\u2019s Consumer IT & Digital organization is modernizing its operational and technology landscape across the U.S. and EMEA. To support accurate financial stewardship, capital governance, and operational insight across this portfolio, we are adding a Financial Analyst - Consumer IT & Digital to our technology finance team.
This role provides end-to-end financial planning and forecasting coverage across capital projects, operating expense, and IT portfolio spend. This position partners closely with Consumer IT leadership, Corporate Finance, Global Finance, PMO teams, and Business Unit owners to deliver clear, reliable financial visibility that drives better decisions.

Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports financial reporting, forecasting, budget management, and capital project tracking for Consumer IT. This role consolidates U.S. + EMEA financials, enables cost transparency, and builds financial processes that increase accountability, speed, and insight for technology leadership.
How You Will Impact WestRock
* Lead monthly forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis across OpEx, CapEx, and IT P&L
* Track capital project spend, budget alignment, risk flags, and financial control requirements
* Consolidate U.S. and EMEA financials for Consumer IT leadership and CIDO visibility
* Partner with BU owners to support budget planning, approvals, and portfolio review
* Build consistent financial reporting models, dashboards, and governance with Apptio/PAS/Hyperion
* Improve transparency into cost-to-serve, run-rate spend, and investment performance
* Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies, internal controls, audit readiness, and SOX
Qualifications
* Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (required)
* 3+ years\u2019 experience in FP&A, business partnering, or IT finance role
* Strong skills in forecasting, variance modeling, and capital vs. operating accounting
* Advanced Excel required; experience with Hyperion, Apptio, JDE/DAS, PAS preferred
* Ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
* Detail-driven, analytical thinker with strength in financial governance and controls
* Able to operate independently, prioritize workload, and drive accountability
