**The Housing and Facilities Services** group at the **University of Colorado, Boulder** are accepting applications for a **Lead Facilities Project Coordinator!** This postition provides leadership and oversight for project coordination for dozens of concurrent capital construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across CU Boulder's 24 residence halls, six family housing complexes, multiple dining centers, and auxiliary buildings.
This role serves as the primary process owner for project documentation, contracting, procurement, submittals, and closeout governance, ensuring compliance with CU Boulder and State Buildings Program standards. The role directly supervises a Facilities Project Coordinator and provides daily guidance to project managers and coordinators, leading onboarding and training for new staff and driving process improvements across the Projects Group.
The position works closely with the Assistant Director of Design and Project Management to prepare funding requests, reconcile budgets, and track project progress. It also acts administratively as an office manager for the Projects Group, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting. This position contributes to HFS-wide process improvement initiatives, implements sustainable design practices, and supports strategic decisions through project execution.

Housing Facilities Services (HFS) is a comprehensive facility management operation that provides around-the-clock support to over 10,000 residents and 20,000 conference guests annually. Services include maintenance, repair, renovation, project management, capital construction, housekeeping and grounds-keeping operations. HFS has approximately 190 full-time employees and approximately 80 part-time and student staff, who all strive to give residents the best living experience possible.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
_Project Coordination and Process Ownership_
+ Lead coordination for planning and oversight of dozens of concurrent projects within the HFS portfolio
+ Own project delivery standards for documentation control, versioning, and audit readiness
+ Ensure alignment with CU Boulder and State Buildings Program requirements throughout the project lifecycle
+ Drive process improvements and publish updated standards and job aids
_Leadership_
+ Directly supervise the Facilities Project Coordinator position, including performance management, workload prioritization, and professional development
+ Provide daily guidance to project managers and coordinators on documentation, procurement, and compliance
+ Lead onboarding and training for new project staff
_Contracts, Procurement, and Compliance_
+ Create and administer contracts, amendments, change orders, and authorizations to proceed
+ Manage purchase orders, pay applications, and invoice reviews in coordination with Finance and Marketplace systems
+ Serve as liaison to Facilities Management and campus contracting offices for standards updates and protocol changes
_Closeout and Documentation Control_
+ Act as the primary closeout administrator for the Projects Group
+ Ensure complete and accurate closeout packages, warranty documentation, and record drawings
+ Track and publish closeout milestones and resolve issues for timely resolution
_Project Tracking, Reporting, and Analysis_
+ Assists the Assistant Director to prepare funding requests, reconcile budgets, and supervise financial performance
+ Produce monthly dashboards on budget status, contract exposure, and change order trends
+ Track project progress and provide actionable insights to leadership
_Office Management and Administration_
+ Manage document repositories, templates, tracker spreadsheets, and shared tools
+ Coordinate meetings, distribute minutes and action items, and ensure disciplined communication with campus partners
The use of a university vehicle is required for the performance of some of these duties.
What You Should Know
+ The shift schedule for this position is from Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm (in office/on campus)
+ This position operates University vehicles and requires a Driver's License in good standing.
What We Can Offer
+ The salary range is $62,400 to $70,322 annually.

What We Require
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Professional experience in collaboration with project managers in construction or project management may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
+ At least one year of experience supporting project or construction management processes, high-level administrative support, or experience providing guidance or oversight to staff or teams.
