    The **Director, Search Strategy & AI Optimization** is a great leadership opportunity to shape how the world discovers, experiences, and trusts MSK—an institution dedicated to ending cancer for life. This role sits at the intersection of search, reputation, and innovation, bringing clarity, confidence, and cohesion to how MSK shows up across traditional, local, and AI-driven search. You’ll partner with influential leaders, guide enterprise strategy, and make a lasting impact on patients, physicians, and the communities MSK serves.

    Role Overview

    + Own the enterprise strategyand champion a cohesive visionforsearch engine optimization, local listings, and online reviews.

    + Lead modernization of searchengine optimizationcapabilitiesincludingoptimizingcontent for LMMs and generative searchengines.

    + Partner withlistingsvendors to ensureaccurate, consistent location data across platforms.

    + Collaborate with survey andreviewvendors to expand and mature reviewmanagement.

    + Serve as a cross-functional connector acrossmultiple departmentsincludingbutnot limitedtoMarketing& Communication, Legal, Physicians,andoperations..

    + Translate complex search performance and risk into clear, executive-ready insights.

    + Anticipate and adapt to generative search and AI-driven discovery trends.

    + Define governance, standards, and accountability for enterprise search accuracy and trust.

    + Navigate sensitive or high-stakes situations with confidence and diplomacy

    Key Qualifications

    + Proven experience leading enterprise SEO, search, or digital visibility strategies.

    + Deep understanding of local search, listings management, and location-based discovery.

    + Experience managing vendor partnerships for listingsandreviewsplatforms.

    + Proven ability to present to senior executive audiences and respond thoughtfully and confidently to challengingquestions..

    + Strongtrack recordworking cross-functionally with legal, clinical, and business stakeholders.

    + Experienceoperatingin complex, highly visible organizations

    + Fluency in SEO technologies and markups (e.g.Brightedge,Yext, Schema, etc.)

    + Healthcare experienceor abilityto quickly learn regulated environmentspreferred but notrequired;

    Pay Range: $164,100.00 - $270,900.00
