    Work location: Texas Health Resources: 800 West Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012

     

    Work hours: Full Time (40 hours); Day Shift, M-F 6:30am - 3:00pm with Call

    Here's What You Need

    * High School Diploma or equivalent required

    * 1 year GI clinical or hospital experience preferred

    * CNA - Certified Nurses Aide upon hire preferred OR

    * MA - Medical Assistant upon hire preferred OR

    * EMT - Emergency Medical Technician upon hire preferred AND

    * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

    What You Will Do

    * Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.

    * Assists physicians and RNs throughout procedures.

    * Handles instrumentation from basic to complex procedures.

    * Takes actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk.

    * Demonstrates teamwork and partnership in delivering care in the GI Lab.

    * Works with on-call team to finish call cases in most efficient, safe manner possible.

    * Operates automatic scope washers and understands the principles of high level disinfection.

    * Cleans scopes manually according to guidelines set forth per manufacturer.

    * Keeps proper records and documents accordingly in daily logs in scope processing room.
