Employment Terms: This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Registrar’s Office which reports to the Manager, Graduation Services.
Schedule: This is a 40-hour per week, on-campus position at the Lawrenceville campus. Must be available to work Monday through Thursday between 8 am and 6 pm and on Friday between 8 am and 4 pm. Occasional Saturdays and some evenings. Schedule is subject to change. May occasionally work at the Alpharetta-North Fulton Campus. Flexibility is a must .
Salary : $45,760 per year
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 11127): High school diploma or equivalent *and* one (1) year of work-related experience or Microsoft Office Application Professional Certificate *and* one (1) year of work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education and three (3) years of work experience in a postsecondary Registrar Office, Academic Advisement or Student Affairs environment.
Strong computer and e xcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze data and support decision-making processes. Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment, problem solve, and maintain effective relationships within a team environment.
Proficiency in systems used in Registrar and Graduation services, including Staff BANNER, BDMS, DegreeWorks, and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook (including mail merge and advanced excel functions); familiarity with systems such as TargetX, Parchment, Tassel, and SQL is beneficial.
Possesses effective time management skills. Anticipates needs and/or opportunities to improve processes and provides accurate and timely support to Graduation Services workflows. Able to prioritize tasks based on the needs of the department while managing multiple responsibilities and successfully meeting deadlines.
Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and to work collaboratively with other departments. Ability to listen to customers (e.g., students, staff, and faculty) and to understand and respond positively to their requests. Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities. Must possess a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Attention to detail is a must.

Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision manages phone, voicemail and email communication related to Commencement and Graduation Services. Processes graduation applications received daily and supports the review and preparation of graduation audits by confirming student record accuracy in DegreeWorks and Banner. Assists with processing and verification tasks related to diplomas and graduation status. Communicates, verifies and advises graduating students about participating in the Commencement ceremony. Assists Graduation Office and GTC event coordinator with activities associated with the preparation for and execution of GTC’s annual Commencement ceremony and other special events as indicated.
This role is primarily responsible for processing and record-management tasks within Graduation Services, and also may include front-facing interaction with students.
Researches, interprets and applies Registrar and Graduation Office policies and procedures. Assists students and staff in understanding Registrar and Graduation Office policies and procedures.
Duties also include supporting Registrar Office with registration lab assistance, processing routine forms such as add/drop/swap, no shows, reinstatements, withdrawals, and grade changes as directed, transcript printing, clearing National Student Clearinghouse and Technical College System of Georgia error reports by verifying student status and record accuracy, and performing other duties as assigned.

2. Communicates with graduates the process of registering for Commencement. Prepares student commencement packet and other materials related to the Graduation & Transfer Fair. Assists with the Commencement preparation and performs assigned duties at the Commencement ceremony.
