Who will you be working with?
You'll be joining our innovative Wabtec Bus Solutions division, a team dedicated to developing leading systems for the Transit Bus & Rail industries including eBus charging systems, innovative passenger door systems, access ramps, and wheelchair lifts. Our group combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of product requirements to deliver industry-leading solutions, lasting value to our customers, and cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of public transit.

What do we want to know about you?
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
+ 5+ years working in supply chain & commodity management, and supplier management in a high mix, global sourcing and operations manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to review, read and understand engineering drawings.
+ Experience with sourcing CNC, Metal fabrication, stampings, extrusions, and castings.
+ Knowledge of MRP systems.
What will your typical day look like?
+ Develop and implement procurement strategies a variety of diversified engineered and metal components.
+ Collaborate with operations and engineering to solve for current production issues and new product introductions.
+ Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
+ Ensures suppliers are meeting promise dates and helps them solve delivery issues where applicable.
+ Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
+ Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers to meet Wabtec's quality and performance standards.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $77400-110300. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include annual bonus, if eligible.
