Summary You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships) located in the Waterfront Operations-Department of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, Portsmouth, VA (SUPSHIP Portsmouth) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will be required to function as the Advance Planning Manager for certain repair availabilities. You will inform superiors when customer-screening action prevents accomplishment of repairs/alterations in accordance with NAVSEA directives and specifications. You will be responsible for editing, correlating and performing quality audits of work specification packages to ensure authorized work is accomplished as agreed upon with customers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience acting as funds administrator for contracts of ships. Experience planning, estimating, scheduling, expediting labor, machines, and materials in an industrial environment. Experience leading project management teams established for coordination of sea trials on ships. Experience managing ship repair job orders and contracts by progressing and monitoring contract administration and procurement regulations.
