Associate Transit Management Analyst (NON/REP C&S) Min: $89,162 – Max: $115,445
Assistant Transit Management Analyst 1 (TA – NON/REP) Min: $67,933 – Max: $80,421
Assistant Transit Management Analyst 2 (TA – NON/REP) Min: $78,874 – Max: $87,847
Summary:
The Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Team at the MTA’s Department of Subways (DOS) is seeking talent for a position as an Analyst on the Functional team.
The EAM Team is responsible for overseeing the software (Hexagon EAM) that manages the lifecycle of our assets, from procurement to maintenance & repair, to the eventual retirement of those assets, including subway cars, track, signals, and all other infrastructure included in the system. Our team has been successful in reducing operational downtime, reducing costs, increasing operational efficiency, improving safety, ensuring compliance, improving data integrity, and providing useful, real-time analytics to senior management for improved decision-making. Our vision is to become the industry leader in Enterprise Asset Management and Maintenance Management.
The Functional team works with all Dept of Subways divisions including Signals, Power, Track, Elevators & Escalators, Engineering, Infrastructure, Stations, and Facilities, to maintain continuity for each of the divisions utilizing the EAM software.
The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the EAM Program as the primary technical resource for data management, design, Quality Control, testing, and supporting the company-wide
Enterprise Asset Management effort. They will also be communicating updates and any relevant information related to EAM rollout.
The Analyst will also be leading key projects and rollouts of new users to Hexagon EAM from initiation through rollout. This will include interacting with all levels of employees to gauge their needs and assisting with designing solutions that fit those needs.
Responsibilities
+ Support the EAM Program as a technical resource for data analysis and management.
+ Assisting in the design, communication and rollout of new EAM projects, occasionally leading projects from start to finish
+ Liaison between the user groups and the technical team
+ Prepare reports, charts, graphs, maps, and drawings to communicate data findings.
+ Highly organized, process and detail oriented.
+ Define and document strategies for integration, system, and performance testing.
+ Test web-based and mobile applications, ensuring technical specifications are met and function according to design.
Required Skills & Education:
+ Either a Master’s degree in a relevant field OR a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years relevant work experience
+ Proven ability to work with Project Management teams to allocate resources across various projects, understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables
+ Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts.
+ Ability to communicate with all levels of employment, from hourly employees to senior management, both written and verbal
Desired Skills
+ Knowledge & appreciation of New York City Transit system
+ Previous project experience related to public transportation or urban infrastructure systems
+ Knowledge of HxGN, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, HP ALM.
+ Experience writing technical specifications, use cases and design documentation.
+ Understanding of data modeling and database structures
Education and Experience:
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
+ A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One (1) year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
+ A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three (3) years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One (1) year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:
+ A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
+ A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.
+ A satisfactory combination of education and experience; however, all candidates must have a bachelor’s degree.
Special Note:
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above.
