    Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Full-Time – 21-Week Contract

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in a Behavioral Management Unit (BMU) classroom. This role involves collaboration with general education staff and participation in planning and implementing individualized student programs.

    Assignment Details:

    + Location: Bay City, TX

    + Start Date: ASAP (January 6th or 12th)

    + End Date: Approximately 21 weeks

    + Schedule: 37.5–40 hours/week

    + Modality: In-Person Only

    + Caseload: 8–15 students

    + Classroom Support: 2 paraprofessionals

    + Duties: Group and 1:1 support, collaboration with paras, BTs, and nurses

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)

    + State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, and Special Teaching (preferred)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Current CPR (if applicable)

    + TB screening and health clearance

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
