    Special Education Teacher — Immediate Opening

     

    Pay: $45 per hour

     

    Start Date: ASAP

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join an elementary school team immediately. The ideal candidate will bring strong instructional skills, experience with diverse learning needs, and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide specialized instruction to students with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disabilities, and Autism.

    + Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and school leadership.

    + Develop and implement IEPs aligned with Wisconsin DPI requirements.

    + Apply evidence-based interventions and strategies to support student growth.

    + Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure coordinated support.

    Required Qualifications

    Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold one of the following Wisconsin DPI Special Education certifications:

    + Cross-Categorical (CC) – 801

    + Learning Disabilities (LD) – 811

    + Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) – 830

    Ideal Candidate Will Have

    + A successful track record working collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Knowledge and experience supporting students with significant learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disabilities, and Autism.

    + A strong background in intervention programs and behavior/academic support strategies.

    + Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and families.
