World Language (Spanish) Teacher
We are seeking a passionate Spanish Teacher to join our junior high team and bring world language learning to life for students in grades 6–8. In this role, you will implement daily instructional plans, create a classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth, and build strong rapport with students.
You will work collaboratively with administrators and fellow teachers while maintaining effective classroom management and delivering engaging instruction.
Responsibilities include
+ Teaching Spanish to junior high students and supporting language acquisition
+ Implementing instructional plans and adapting lessons as needed
+ Maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment
+ Communicating effectively with parents, staff, and administration
+ Supporting student wellbeing and academic success
+ Upholding all professional standards and documentation requirements
Minimum requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher
+ Valid teaching license/certification with Spanish endorsement (IL Professional Educator License with World Language - Spanish endorsement)
+ One year of teaching experience preferred
+ Ability to follow instructional plans and communicate clearly with students, families, and staff
+ Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
+ Willingness to take responsibility for student safety and wellbeing
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current health certificate as required
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years old
Position details
+ Modality: World Language (Spanish) Teacher
+ Grade levels: 6–8
+ Caseload: Teaching Spanish to junior high students
+ Schedule: 7:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
+ Start date: ASAP through end of school year
