This role will spearhead and support special initiatives across key business functions and modern IT domains, including Digital, Data, and Supply Chain. Serving as a strategic thought partner, this leader will influence, and champion the definition, documentation and socialization of key initiatives, ensuring that US Foods’ Digital and Technology (DigiTech) strategies are clearly documented, communicated, understood, and effectively integrated. By guiding, influencing, and developing the materials, this role will support Digitech’s Strategic priorities. Based on their extensive Technology strategy background, this role will support workshopping and discovery exercises to inform USF IT’s strategic initiative planning in line with enterprise-wide USF strategic priorities.
Flexible Work Policy: The work for the IT Strategic Programs, Director position is completely remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Collaborate with the OCIDO and COS to design and maintain a multi-year strategic roadmap for OCIDO
+ Lead quarterly development of Technology Strategy board materials by hosting and facilitating Technology strategy sessions.
+ Partner with DigiTech leaders, ILC members to operationalize strategic priorities into actionable plans
+ Act as subject matter expert in industry and technology trends, and advise Digitech leadership on opportunities and risks to internal technology strategy
+ Act as an internal SME, Strategic Planning and the business – leading analytical efforts by application of extensive strategic knowledge to provide insightful issue identification, problem-framing, clarification and data-driven strategic recommendations to develop ILC materials, DTLT materials, ELT materials and BOD materials.
+ Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key IT and Business stakeholders
+ Identify critical data, skillsets, technical and business subject matter expertise, historical context, and feedback needed for effective strategic planning and material development.
+ In partnership with DigiTech Leadership and Product Delivery Leaders, advises the teams on their program decisions and effective and strategic storytelling of those decisions
+ Coaches product team(s) to understand the difference between storytelling to various levels and departments of the organization.
+ Be responsible for turning ambiguous inputs into realistic roll-out plans and facilitating cross-functional operational readiness to ensure IT and business objectives are met
+ Report and present key strategies to relevant VPs, C-suite level leadership, relevant stakeholders, and program owners to align on a path forward
+ Serve as a change leader across IT and the business; advise and coach key stakeholders in developing effective communication, escalation, and change management approach and plan
+ Partner with key business stakeholders, leadership, and the USF Strategy function to actively stay aware of internal pain points, market trends, and evolving external regulations and policies which could impact IT governance, ways of working, services, and Products
+ Support the Strategy & Architecture Value Stream’s IT-wide strategic opportunity discovery, planning, and prioritization of strategic initiatives based on learnings from initiatives led by the SME.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager.
RELATIONSHIPS
+ **Internal** : CIDO, COS, VP, Tech Strat and Arch, DigiTech Leadership Team, Corp Comms, HR, Finance,
+ **External** : Strategic Technology Partners, Consulting and industry experts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ **Remote** : This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ 8+ years of experience in IT / technology-related areas
+ 5+ years’ experience in an advisory capacity (including, but not limited to, IT consulting, IT operations consulting, Product/Project management, or process management and improvement)
+ Proven experience executing projects, managing stakeholders, and serving as the IT liaison in multiple business functions– e.g., Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, etc.
+ Strong understanding of standard IT infrastructure, systems, tools, and foundational business principles such as finance, strategy, etc.
+ Broad experience spanning business architecture, digital technologies, transformation delivery, and modern IT strategy
+ Strong program management and delivery skills on multiple concurrent engagements; demonstrated ability to translate recommendations and strategic initiatives into actionable plans
+ Expert strategic partnering and change leadership skills--the ability to connect, influence, and align key stakeholders and SMEs in a matrixed, cross-functional organization to drive integrated solutions forward
+ Proven experience diagnosing, analyzing, improving, and resolving issues with minimal information and changing priorities through engaging SMEs and solution partners
+ Ability to and experience with confidently and comfortably presenting identified strategic opportunities to C-Suite level stakeholders
EDUCATION
+ Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Operations, Finance, relevant field or related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Master’s degree
+ Previous IT consulting experience
+ Experience delivering in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$110,000 - $180,000
