    Role Overview

     

    The Manager, Planning Excellence **with a focus in Demand Planning** will play a critical role in enabling Newell’s strategic imperatives by driving execution of demand planning capabilities across segments. This role focuses on **delivering planning excellence initiatives** for assigned business units, ensuring adoption of best practices, tools, and processes that improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and operational efficiency.

     

    The Manager, Planning Excellence will be working on the Global Supply Chain Delivery Team acting as the **strategic project manager** for capability deployment, partnering closely with Process Excellence, Segment Planning Leaders, and cross-functional teams to implement solutions that align with global standards while meeting local business needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Execute Delivery Team Priorities:**

    + Support rollout of planning processes and analytic tools across segments.

    + Drive adoption of SAP IBP and related planning technologies.

    + Facilitate S&OP maturity improvements and connect processes to brand models.

    + **Capability Building:**

    + Deliver training and education for demand planners on IBP, statistical forecasting, and advanced analytics.

    + Support segment-specific needs for forecasting improvements and scenario planning.

    + **Data & Reporting Enablement:**

    + Ensure full adoption and refinement of PowerBI dashboards and KPI reporting.

    + Collaborate with Data Science to improve insights and decision-making tools.

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**

    + Act as the point of contact for capability delivery in global initiatives

    + Partner with Supply Planning, IT, and Process Excellence to shape the end-to-end planning processes to become a best-in-class supply chain organization

    + **Continuous Improvement:**

    + Identify gaps in planning execution and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and compliance.

    + Support global and regional WoW (Ways of Working) sessions to align priorities and share best practices.

     

    Candidate Profile

     

    The ideal candidate has the ability to influence others and adapt within a fast-moving environment while leveraging strong technical expertise in demand planning and a proven ability to execute complex initiatives. This person thrives in a collaborative environment, balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.

    + 5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting.

    + Prior experience with other large CPG companies preferred

    + Need to be able to communicate with various levels of the organization and provide insights based on facts and data

    + Expertise in SAP IBP and S&OP processes; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDA).

    + Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Power BI and Excel.

    + Ability to lead training and capability-building initiatives.

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    + Willingness to travel up to 25%.
