About the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Role

The Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) is accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and interdisciplinary team. As a Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), you will support resident comfort, monitor clinical status, and help lead the night nursing team to success.

Responsibilities – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

+ Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with the plan of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and documentation.

+ Supervise and support the day-to-day work of Nursing Assistants on the night shift as a Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).

+ Monitor resident conditions, promptly identify changes, and notify the physician and appropriate team members.

+ Ensure accurate, timely charting and documentation for all residents under the care of the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).

+ Promote a safe, calm, and therapeutic nighttime environment for residents and staff.

+ Communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers to support quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications – Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

+ Nursing degree from an accredited program or college/university.

+ Current, active, unencumbered LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license.

+ Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

+ The Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to long-term care.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment.

+ Ability for the Night Shift LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to work tactfully and professionally with residents, families, interdisciplinary staff, visitors, and outside agencies.

+ Strong organization and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
