Overview
Intuit is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager to join its Marketing Sourcing team. Reporting to the Group Manager for Marketing Services, this role is critical to our mission of driving Operational Excellence and Value Creation across the marketing supply chain. As a Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will serve as a "dual-threat" leader: partnering with category managers and marketing teams to drive long-term sourcing strategies while simultaneously leading the operational sourcing function. In this role, you will be responsible for balancing high-level category architecture with the day-to-day management of procurement execution, ensuring cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and supplier excellence that align with Intuit’s business goals. We are looking for a professional who can pivot seamlessly between data-driven strategy and operational rigor, fostering strong partnerships across stakeholders and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Operational Sourcing
• Operational Sourcing Expertise: Lead, mentor, and direct the operational sourcing team to ensure seamless execution of tactical buying and resource allocation during peak renewal season. Manage performance to ensure strict adherence to Marketing Sourcing protocol and processes to achieve operation excellence and value creation.
• Process Optimization & Governance: Champion continuous improvement of procurement workflows to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and ensure compliance.
Translate compliance requirements into actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Governance & SOPs: Translate complex compliance requirements into actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Champion continuous improvement of procurement workflows to increase efficiency and ensure compliance.
• Change Management: Lead change management initiatives for new tools or policy updates, ensuring the operational team and stakeholders are aligned and trained.
Strategic Sourcing ● Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Architect and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for key marketing categories, including creative, media, and public relations etc. Lead end-to-end competitive bidding processes (RFP, RFQ) to align with business objectives and maximize value. ● High-Stakes Negotiation & Contracting: Command complex, high-value negotiations with global marketing suppliers to secure best-in-class commercial terms and mitigate risk. Spearhead the drafting and negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), collaborating closely with Legal, Finance, and Data Security teams. ● Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Implement a robust SRM framework to govern strategic supplier partnerships. Drive continuous improvement by monitoring vendor performance, conducting regular business reviews, and ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery targets. ● Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor and primary procurement partner to senior Marketing leadership. Translate complex business needs into actionable sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals and financial targets. ● Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage advanced spend analytics and market intelligence to identify savings opportunities, build compelling business cases, and guide strategic sourcing decisions that deliver measurable financial and operational value.
Qualifications
Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• A minimum of 4+ years of dedicated experience in sourcing indirect categories, with a strong expertise in one or more areas of marketing spend (Creative, Media, Production, PR services).
• 4+ years of experience leading or supervising operational buying teams, with a proven track record of managing resources, KPIs, and SLAs for high-volume transactions.
Data-Driven & Analytical Skills
• Demonstrated mastery of spend analytics, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, and should-cost analysis.
• A proven ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources, translate it into actionable insights, and present clear, concise strategic recommendations to an executive audience.
• Hands-on experience with e-procurement and source-to-pay platforms (e.g., Coupa) and a strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a verifiable track record of successfully leading complex, high-value, and multi-faceted deals from inception to execution.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to independently lead multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and results-oriented environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities and a proven capacity to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
