In support of this model, roles have been categorized into one of three work location categories:
1. Onsite – roles where employees are expected to be onsite daily.
2. Hybrid fixed – roles that are a mix of remote work and onsite work fixed days each week.
3. Hybrid flexible – roles that are a mix of remote work and onsite work, but the onsite requirements have greater flexibility. (i.e. 5-8 days a month vs. set days each week).

Job Summary
A highly motivated and customer-focused Business Consultant is sought to join the dynamic team at PSEG Long Island. As a Business Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for Small to Medium business (SMB) clients providing knowledge about the corporate products and services, providing assistance to resolve issues related to PSEG Long Island service and highlighting beneficial products to help the business. The Business Consultant analyzes current business operations/usage, identifies inefficiencies and/or areas for improvement, and serves as a direct channel to PSEG Long Island for support. The Business Consultant helps SMBs overcome challenges, improve profitability, and implement solutions for long-term success. The core objective for the Business Consultant is to serve as an internal liaison to help commercial customers navigate addressing issues/concerns and equipping smaller businesses with the tools and resources needed to keep them functional - from a utility and foundational perspective.
Job Responsibilities
+ Act as a dedicated point of contact for business customers, managing inquiries and providing timely, accurate support.
+ Resolve customer issues and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, collaborating with internal teams as needed.
+ Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and advocate for their interests during product development and service enhancement discussions.
+ Educate customers on products, updates, and best practices to maximize their utilization and satisfaction.
+ Study customer behavioral patterns, usage trends to identify products to benefit.
+ Monitor customer satisfaction and engagement levels, proactively addressing potential issues and driving retention.
+ Gather and analyze customer feedback, providing insights to relevant teams to improve product offerings and service delivery.
+ Develop and conduct presentations to showcase information at local events; participate in or lead customer success programs, such as training sessions, webinars, or community forums.
+ Generate reports using customer relationship management tool to showcase program effectiveness, track customer engagement and ensure accountability for community engagement.
Job Specific Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service, sales, or client-facing role.
+ In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in a customer service, sales, or client-facing role.
+ Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on building rapport and active listening.
+ Strong demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
+ Must have the capability to learn new systems and tools in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
+ Must demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work weekends.
+ Must be willing to be photographed and featured in print ads, newsletters, press events.
+ Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Desired
+ Bilingual (Spanish, French, any secondary language).
+ Experience using a Customer Relationship Management tool.
+ Familiarity with the Electric utility industry.
