    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Systems Solutions Engineer with deep experience in email and file migrations to support customer environments and deliver high‑quality systems solutions. In this role, you will provide systems management services, technical expertise, and hands-on implementation across a range of client projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting large-scale migrations involving email platforms, cloud storage, and file systems, while also maintaining broader systems engineering responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Lead and execute email migrations (e.g., Exchange → O365, tenant-to-tenant migrations, legacy server migrations).

     

    - Plan and perform file migrations across cloud and on-prem environments (SharePoint, OneDrive, file servers, storage platforms, etc.).

     

    - Provide Tier 2/3 technical support during migration activities and post‑deployment stabilization.

     

    - Act as a core technical resource on assigned projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and documentation.

     

    - Analyze, document, and resolve system or application integration issues.

     

    - Ensure long-term systems operations are aligned with clients’ overall IT strategies and best practices.

     

    - Track all work and time in a ticketing and project management system.

     

    - Engage with customers and vendors to gather technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transitions.

     

    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve a broad range of technical challenges.

     

    - Configure and maintain virtual infrastructure including servers, switches, storage, power, and hypervisors.

     

    - Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions including app services, virtual machines, and VPN connectivity to on‑prem systems.

     

    - Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery strategies.

     

    - Continuously evaluate systems and recommend improved designs and optimized solutions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT consulting/solutions environment.

     

    - 5+ years of systems engineering or architecture experience with hands-on implementation responsibilities.

     

    - Proven experience executing email migrations and file storage migrations across cloud and on-prem environments.

     

    - Experience building, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).

     

    Strong background in system installation, configuration, and ongoing support across varied client environments.

     

    - Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
