    As a C-130 Aircraft Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical Technician at BAE Systems, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of defense technology.     As a C-130 Aircraft Technician, you will be responsible for planning, installation, and test of aircraft modifications and other aircraft systems. You may also assist in preventive maintenance, preservation, troubleshooting, and repair of multiple aircraft systems.     Responsibilities:

    + Plans and performs installation and test of modifications (kits), and does preventive maintenance and preservation May assist in aircraft repairs, or kit finishing.

    + Inspects, tests, adjusts and certifies moderately complex assemblies, subassemblies, parts and systems for compliance with specifications and quality assurance practices, following blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals using hand tools and precision testing equipment.

    + May perform mods, maintenance, or repairs by adjusting, calibrating, aligning, or modifying components using hand and power tools. Repairs or replaces defective parts.

    + Reviews customer specifications and related data to determine logistic needs of projects.

    + Applies technical knowledge of airframe, mechanical, power plant, electrical, or other systems like mission systems.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + 4 years related experience

    + Recent experience working C-130 series aircraft, including:

    + Troubleshooting malfunctions and new modifications

    + Adjusting, replacing, testing, and troubleshooting aircraft systems and aircraft accessories

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Airframe/Power Plant license

    + Computer/Typing skills and experience with MS Office Applications

    + Recent Hands-On experience

    + Experience in the following:

    + Aircraft Structural; or

    + Aircraft Mechanical; or

    + Aircraft Electrical; or

    + Aircraft system testing and troubleshooting; or

    + Interpreting drawing/schematics

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $52955 - $84728

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
