    We're seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to join our team, responsible for automating and system testing, creating technical artifacts, and coordinating deployment activities in designated HPC Linux environments. As a Software Integration Engineer, you will provide expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Automate and system test software in HPC Linux environments

    + Create technical artifacts and coordinate deployment activities

    + Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software integration and deployment

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    The Level II Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:

    + Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.

    + Generate documentation for the full software stack.

    + Update software for sustainment support.

    + Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.

    + Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.

    **SIE-2 Qualifications** :

     

    Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field and have at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

    OR

    The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

    Position Required Skills

    + Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools

    + Experience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks, deploy test environments, and execute test suites

    + Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible

    + Experience with DevOps processes and related FOSS toolchains

    + Experience with CI/CD concepts, principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab

    + Experience integrating metrics and monitoring frameworks including Splunk

    + Experience creating documentation for reporting integration results to relevant stakeholders

    MDOPS

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

    + Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and collaboration

    + Experience with Git Source Control System

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
