    CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

    + Prepares research proposals with detailed rationale, background data, and proposed methods and organization.

    + Designs and writes programs to perform analysis and produces written reports on results.

    + Collects pilot data to help support new and competing renewal applications.

    + Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

    + Maintains data files and conducts data analysis.

    + Drafts and publishes manuscripts and articles for peer-reviewed journals.

    + Prepares and submits grant applications.

    + Designs, executes, interprets, and integrates scientific data.

    + Presents research findings at local and national scientific conferences.
