Summary:
Meta is seeking a strategic and results-focused Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team. In this high-impact role, you’ll be at the forefront of scaling our accounting operations and driving innovation in the global cash accounting processes. You’ll play a key part in our month-end financial close, operationalize strategic plans to optimize accounting processes for scale as Meta’s business grows, and mentor an off-shore team. Required Skills:
Corporate Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
1. Manage key financial reporting areas within Corporate Accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of global cash transactions
2. Manage and support the US GAAP close process for global cash accounting, including preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
3. Act as a hands-on contributor, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely and accurate close
4. Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes for month-end and quarter-end close, leveraging automation and best practices to support business growth
5. Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to offshore teams in Poland and Costa Rica, including managing escalations, reviewing cash transaction postings, and fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement
6. Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with audit requirements, supporting statutory compliance teams, Internal Audit, and External Audit throughout the year
7. Partner with Treasury, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to optimize processes impacting cash, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives
8. Proactively identifies problematic areas and determines the root cause

9. BA/BS degree required in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
10. 7+ years relevant experience in the accounting profession
11. Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices
12. Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting processes, with experience in effectively scaling financial operations
13. Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or review
14. Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft or Google office tools
15. Experience working under your own initiative as a individual contributor, seeking feedback and input where appropriate

16. Experience with large, fast-growing, multinational company
17. Big 4 audit experience and CPA
18. Demonstrable experience consistently working collaboratively and respectfully with a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations
19. Attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture” and the importance of risk mitigation and an effective control environment
20. Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement and experience with streamlining processes
21. Experience managing, providing mentorship, and/or oversight to teams
Public Compensation:
$113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
