Summary About the Position: Serves as technical expert in all facets of the U.S. Army Pacific, Army Training Land Retention (ATLR) acquisition and disposal efforts. This announcement is NOT intended for current, permanent Army employees. Responsibilities Serves as real estate and real property acquisition and disposal subject matter expert, supporting an Army Command. Provides project management integration, extensive coordination, and evaluation of Army Training Land Retention (ATLR) realty and real property actions across teams in various offices. Disposes real estate interests acquired in fee, by permits, licenses, leases, and easements which have been declared as excess by Department of the Army. Plans, budgets, obtains funding, monitors expenditures, and assures completion of realty actions for assigned programs. Reviews realty and real estate utilization accomplishments of the ATLR program for technical adequacy, consistence, and compliance with policies procedures, directives, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify for this position, you must meet the Specialized Experience for this position. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) executing real estate acquisitions and disposals; 2) preparing budget data and exercise of cost control functions; and 3) assisting in program reviews for effectiveness and accomplishments.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
