    What’s the role?

     

    The Bloomberg Chief Accounting Office we are committed to providing best-in-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership. This internship is a 10-week long rotational program where interns get exposure to various teams like billing operations, client financial services, and cash control.

     

    During the summer internship, you’ll be working on hands-on project work, you’ll attend a speaker series, designed to teach you about our company, people, and culture. There will also be plenty of opportunities to meet Bloomberg leaders at a variety of professional development and networking events.

     

    Of course, we also want to give you the chance to get to know your peers, so together you’ll give back to the community at the annual Bloomberg Intern Day of Service, take part in social events including visits to cultural institutions and participate in professional training with interns from other departments.

     

    Throughout the internship, you’ll be supported by your manager, mentor, and recruiter to ensure you receive regular feedback on your work and help navigate the company.

    Interns will rotate through the following teams:

    **Global Billing:** Our Billing Team plays a key role in supporting the Order-to-Cash process. As an intern, you will gain insight to our daily billing procedures such as creating invoices and answering inquiries from internal stakeholders. You will develop a foundational understanding of billing processes, pricing strategies, and financial systems, while building proficiency in tools like Excel for reporting and analysis.

    **Client Financial Services:** Our CFS Team strives to provide white-glove customer service to all of our clients. In this portion of the internship, you will participate in projects aimed at reducing aged receivables. Your responsibilities will include logging collection notes in our internal systems, following up on payment arrangements, and assisting with processing customer refunds, write-offs, and escheatable items. You will also help prepare delinquent accounts for third-party collections while collaborating closely with Sales, Contracts, Installations, and Billing teams to resolve outstanding issues. This role offers practical exposure to collections processes, financial operations, and cross-functional teamwork, providing a strong foundation for a future career in finance.

    **Cash Applications:** As part of the Cash Applications team, you will gain exposure to Bloomberg’s global cash and treasury processes—learning how cash receipts are applied, tracked, and reconciled. You’ll help ensure that client receipts are processed accurately and efficiently, support daily cash reporting, and assist in resolving payment discrepancies via adjustments, write-offs and credits. You will have the opportunity to observe how our internal controls interact with daily operations and identify inefficiencies, while also gaining exposure to emerging automation and data tools that enhance our workflows.

    You’ll need to have:

    + Current enrollment in a university and pursuing a major in Accounting, Finance, or another Business-related field, with an expected graduation date between **December 2026 and May 2027** .

    + Availability to commit to the full 10-week internship program in our New York office

    + Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot issues while working across various financial systems in a fast-paced environment

    + Adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic setting

    + Professional and courteous communication skills in person, via email, and over the phone

    + Flexibility to work effectively within a constantly changing environment

    + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and accurate reporting

    + Exceptional attention to detail when handling our internal processes

    + **Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future**

     

    Salary Range = 26 - 26 USD Hourly

     

    The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
