Position Highlights
**Job Summary** :
Oversees Home Health and Assisted Living operations and ensures compliance with applicable regulations. Ensures a high standard of individualized health care for patients and residents with the least possible disruption to their usual pattern of daily living. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
**Job Functions** :
+ Organizes, develops, and directs patient care.
+ Orientates, instructs, and supervises personnel.
+ Conducts/coordinates in-service education and training programs.
+ Coordinates nursing service with other departments.
+ Regularly inspects documentation, facility, and nursing practices for compliance with federal, state and local standards and regulations.
+ Develops policies and procedures and writes job descriptions for personnel.
+ Establishes administration, procedure, and control of medications under direction of Pharmacist in Assisted Living.
+ Assists in providing for the spiritual, psychological, and social needs of patients and residents.
+ Identifies and solves departmental and personnel problems.
+ Maintains required records; reviews, updates and revises policies, procedures, and job descriptions to meet current objectives and standards.
+ Adheres to policies and procedures to carry out prescribed provider orders and perform nursing care in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
+ Promote personal and professional growth for staff.
+ Initiates plan of care and revisions.
+ Educates patients and families for nursing-related needs
+ Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members to provide both comprehensive and continuing care.
+ Interviews applicants and approves or rejects hiring.
+ Assists with the establishment of a disaster, fire and safety program in cooperation with administration.
+ Attend department head meetings.
+ Keeps current in the field of nursing through attendance of meetings, conferences, conventions and workshops
+ Maintains confidentiality of all client activities.
