    Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Stormwater Engineer with a wide variety of related experience to add to our Environmental Engineering team.     As a professional within our Environmental Services Practice, this position will support the development and growth of our stormwater engineering related services and engineering team as well as participate in a wide variety of environmental engineering projects. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated with a strong commitment to making our clients successful. The candidate will have the following experience:

     

    + Performing design of environmental systems and facilities from the conceptual phase through design completion and construction.

    + Working with project teams throughout the design and construction process, adapting environmental plans, designs, and production drawings according to budget constraints, regulatory requirements, or client needs.

    + Researching and compiling of project-related data as required by the project managers.

    + Leading and supporting environmental or civil projects or tasks which may include earthwork/grading, stormwater, wastewater, remediation, waste management, and restoration.

    + Preparing reports, studies, and cost estimates to help clients evaluate options and provide solutions.

    + Project management duties such as developing and executing project scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and managing client expectations.

    + Provide construction phase support and preparation of construction quality assurance (CQA) reports.

    + Training / mentoring staff.

    + Developing new and maintaining existing client and regulatory relationships.

    + Other duties, as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 7 years of civil or environmental engineering experience (consulting preferred);

    + PE licensure preferred.

    + Available for travel as necessary (approximately 15% travel).

    + Strong knowledge in standard environmental engineering techniques and procedures.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

    + Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and environmental analysis programs).

    + Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.

     

    Compensation

     

    $140,000.00-200,000.00 Yearly

     

    The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
