    Global Force Information Management (GFIM) is the Army project office for the Army’s single overarching, authoritative data source for Global Force Management (GFM) activities, Force Structure, Organizational Construct, and Readiness data. The operating environment provides near real-time GFM insight of Army formations down to the team level to develop the Future Force (DFF) and provide the Current Force (PCF) in an auditable and transparent manner for risk-informed decision making. Further, it automates GFM functions, enabling D2RR ISO Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO) processes. The team from Chenega Cyberstar is responsible for providing program management support services to GFIM’s software development efforts.

     

    The **Data Engineer** supports GFIM by providing cloud support to the RA(s) to include Office365, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.), and other cloud-based platforms. This work may include, but is not limited to, the duties outlined below.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide expertise and analysis in data visualization (specifically Microsoft Power BI), developing and tracking performance metrics, data presentation, translating strategic vision into actionable goals and objectives, and relationship management.

    + Develop project and program performance metrics and success criteria.

    + Conduct data assessments and create deliverables (plans, reports, briefings, etc.) for executive staff.

    + Develop and enhance decision-making dashboards, collect performance data, and produce data visualizations, in Power BI/Power Apps/Power Platform.

    + Work with organizational data and project teams to standardize data analysis and management strategies.

    + Present deliverables and visualizations to non-technical audiences.

    + Develop and implement data strategies for daily and weekly reports.

    + Conduct ad hoc analysis and respond to client requests.

    + Support research projects, capability development efforts, and innovation efforts.

    + Support project management, logistics, and communication activities.

    + Consider and evaluate user experiences for the team’s portfolio of web and online applications, to include Microsoft products (SharePoint, Power BI, etc.).

    + Design and develop excellent graphic elements that adhere to the language to enhance the user experience.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline

    + 10+ years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

    + Must be agile certified (SAFe is preferred) or agree to complete training and obtain certification within 30 days of hire

    + Active Secret clearance

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills

    + Proficient in Power BI and Power Automate and has demonstrated experience in creating visualization dashboards.

    + Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure

    + Provided programmatic or analyst support for agile software development activities.

    + Possesses experience within programs that are pursuing the DoD 5000.87 Software Acquisition Pathway (desired).

    + Shall have proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to convey information across multiple customers and corporate audiences.

    + Shall have the required skills, training, and experience necessary to use the following software program(s): Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), Microsoft Products (SharePoint, Visio, and).
