    In this role you will take the lead in supporting and maintaining robust data practices for our Sales and Marketing teams. This role will be critical in ensuring that our data is reliable, consistent, and effectively supports strategic sales and marketing initiatives. **You will serve as a data representative working directly with sales and marketing DVP-level executives and their teams to identify data pain points, develop strategic roadmaps, and manage data initiative intake processes.**

     

    To excel in this role, you need proven experience in product management and business analysis, with strong stakeholder management skills at the executive level, combined with hands-on technical expertise. **We are looking for candidates who can bridge the gap between technical teams and senior business leadership, translating data challenges into strategic initiatives while maintaining strong technical proficiency in SQL, Databricks, and Salesforce.** This unique combination of strategic thinking and technical execution makes you invaluable in driving data strategy at an organizational level.     WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    **Executive Stakeholder Management:** Serve as the primary data representative working with VP and DVP-level executives across Sales and Marketing organizations to understand their strategic objectives and data needs.

    **Business Pain Point Identification:** Proactively identify and document data-related pain points affecting business operations, working closely with leadership teams to prioritize and address critical issues.

    **Strategic Roadmap Development:** Create and maintain comprehensive data roadmaps that align with business objectives, including timelines, resource requirements, and success metrics.

    **Intake Process Management:** Establish and manage structured intake processes for data requests and initiatives, ensuring proper prioritization and resource allocation.

    **Define & Track Critical Data Elements (CDEs):** Work with stakeholders to identify and build documentation on critical data elements for sales and marketing, ensuring they are well understood across the organization.

    **Data Lineage Documentation:** Develop and maintain data lineage documentation for key sales and marketing datasets to ensure transparency and traceability of data across systems.

    **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with marketing, sales operations, sales governance, data engineering, enterprise governance, analytics teams, and our Data Management Tech Lead to ensure alignment on data governance practices and strategic initiatives.

    **Business Case Development:** Develop compelling business cases for data initiatives, including ROI analysis and impact assessments to secure executive buy-in and funding.

    **Product Management for Data:** Apply product management principles to data initiatives, including feature prioritization, user story development, and agile delivery methodologies.

    **Technical Problem Resolution:** Leverage SQL and data platform expertise to diagnose complex data issues and work with technical teams to implement solutions.

    **Data Strategy Communication:** Translate complex data concepts into business language for executive audiences and drive awareness of data governance initiatives across the organization.

    **Data Stewardship:** Act as a data steward for sales & marketing, work with relevant stakeholders to identify and develop corrective action plans and preventive measures to maintain data quality.

    TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent

    + **Proven experience working directly with VP/DVP-level executives and senior leadership teams**

    + **Strong product management or business analysis background with demonstrated ability to manage complex roadmaps**

    + **Experience identifying business pain points and translating them into actionable data strategies**

    + **Expertise in stakeholder management and intake process development**

    + **Strong proficiency in SQL with demonstrated ability to diagnose complex data issues**

    + **Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)**

    + **Salesforce knowledge and CRM platform experience**

    + Proven track record of implementing and supporting data quality frameworks

    + Business Analysis skills and ability to understand complex systems and data flows

    + Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially in marketing and sales domains

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex concepts to C-level executives

    + Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data stewardship practices

    + Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in resolving both business process and technical data issues

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + **Product management certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Product Management certifications)**

    + **Experience managing data product portfolios or data-as-a-product initiatives**

    + The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple pillars of data management and ideally has worked with sales and marketing data

    + Data visualization and data analysis

    + Familiarity with data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation)

    + Certifications in data governance, data management, or project management (e.g., DAMA, PMP, Agile certifications)

    INTERVIEW FOCUS AREAS:

    During the interview process, we'll explore your experience in the following key areas:

    1. **Executive Stakeholder Management & Data Quality Frameworks:** We'll discuss your experience working with VP/DVP-level executives and how you've implemented or improved data quality frameworks for marketing or sales data, including the tools and processes you used and how you measured success.

    1. **Business Pain Point Identification & Critical Data Elements:** You'll be asked to describe your approach to identifying business pain points related to data and how you identify and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and build data lineage for sales and marketing datasets.

    1. **Cross-functional Partnership & Intake Management:** We want to hear about specific examples of how you've partnered with marketing, sales, and data engineering teams to establish intake processes, align on data definitions, resolve quality issues, and improve processes.

    1. **Technical Problem-Solving & Product Management:** You'll have the opportunity to discuss a complex data issue you diagnosed using SQL, including the root cause analysis and how your findings drove business decisions, as well as how you've applied product management principles to data projects.

    1. **Data Strategy Communication & Governance:** We'll explore how you ensure ongoing data stewardship and stakeholder awareness around data governance initiatives, especially in fast-moving sales and marketing environments, and how you've communicated these to senior leadership.

    Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. We offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Matched Retirement Savings, Wellness Program, Short-and Long-Term Disability, Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Paid Volunteer Time Off, and more. The compensation for this role is USD $105,600.00 - USD $282,600.00 / Year*

     

    *Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
