    Your role and responsibilities

    An IBM SiView Application Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IBM’s SiView Manufacturing Execution System for semiconductor manufacturing environments. This role involves leading end-to-end implementation projects including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment of the SiView platform. The architect tailors the system to meet specific manufacturing processes and business requirements, with a focus on semiconductor operations such as wafer fabrication, testing, and assembly.Key responsibilities include performing out-of-the-box configuration to enable features like production scheduling, quality control, equipment integration, and material tracking, while also consulting on and planning customization depending on client needs. The role requires deep technical expertise in programming languages like C/C++ on Unix/AIX platforms, database systems such as DB2, and understanding of manufacturing subsystems including equipment automation and transportation automation. The architect serves as a technical consultant, bridging business requirements with technical solutions while ensuring the system supports fully automated, 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing operations with high reliability and scalability.
