    Overview

     

    Software/Controls Test Analyst (DETO-2025-24353)

     

    Bowhead is seeking an Software/Controls Test Analyst to continuously test the Digital Imagery Exploitation Engine (DIEE), a tool used for Advanced Target Development (ATD) that includes weaponeering tools. Directed energy weaponeering tools including Joint Laser Weaponeering Software (JLaWS), Joint High Power Microwave Applied Weaponeering Knowledge Software (JHAWKS), Joint Electromagnetic Assessment Predictive (JEAP) are critical tools being integrated into the DIEE Software suite and testing is a critical process needed to ensure accuracy and usability prior to fielding. This position is onsite at Eglin Air Force Base, 96 Test Wing.

    Responsibilities

    + Test functionality of the DIEE software suite Engineering Builds (EBs).

    + Test functionality of critical Plugins as they become available through the DIEE Architecture.

    + Provide feedback to the program office for bug fixes and improvements.

    + Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to Program Office.

    + Manage Hand on Functional Reviews and Risk Reduction Events including Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    + Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, and standards.

    + Support quality assurance activities to maintain the integrity of project deliverables.

    + Delivers Software assessments for each Engineering Build, log of software fixes required, Program Office briefing materials.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Extensive experience with the DIEE suite of tools

    + Weaponeering knowledge and extensive use of Weaponeering tools

    + Operational experience.

    + Three (3) years of experience developing user-interfaces, controls, and other software tools related to DE-systems and integrating spectrum awareness systems.

    + Demonstrated experience with Web Development using HTML/JavaScript and Windows Service Development using C#.

    + Demonstrated experience with U.S. Navy/Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, Laser, and CIED systems and other EMMW-related projects.

    + Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate output data and concepts simply and concisely for senior leaders.

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Candidates with an active DoD security clearance are required. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

    Physical Demands:

    + Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

    + Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

    + Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
