Job Summary
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks related to monitoring and controls for the ACE, Global Capability Network (GCN), and field operations under the direction of the Corporate ACE Monitoring & Controls Manager. Tasks are to be completed in compliance with SOX, ICC, APG and other HCA Accounting guidelines. The Senior Accountant is required to understand their role in ensuring quality/performance improvement, productivity, and service delivery to meet stakeholder needs. This position must maintain strong and effective working relationships with all department, field and other Corporate personnel. The Senior Accountant will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and skilled written and oral communications.
Major Responsibilities
+ Compile and analyze data collection efforts to measure key performance indicators.
+ Performs quality audits pertaining to ACE, GCN and field related functions. Provides management with audit results including accuracy, timeliness and adherence to department policies, key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
+ Provide field support for tasks pertaining to overall function.
+ Generate Global Reporting Standards and Reports for key stakeholders.
+ Develop process-level standards, training, and support for ACE, GCN, and field related functions.
+ Contribute to the development of policies and identification of performance metrics.
+ Draft Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and collaborate with process subject matter experts in ACE and field.
+ Respond to requests from both Internal and External Audit partners.
+ Responds to enterprise-wide requests, researching unusual and/or significant activity, performing system queries, and producing standard and custom reports.
+ Identify and escalate process improvement or automation opportunities.
+ Performs tasks in compliance with SOX, ICC and APG and other HCA Accounting guidelines.
+ Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of financial data.
+ Demonstrates ability to perform tasks in an orderly, timely, and independent manner and work with less structured, more complex issues.
+ Responsible for the training and guidance of staff accountants.
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance Required
+ 3+ years of experience in Accounting / Finance Required
+ Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelRequired
+ Hospital, Division or Internal Audit Experience Required
