Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The PT supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. What you will do in this role:

+ You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.

+ You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.

+ You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.

+ You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.

+ You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

What Qualification You Will Need:

+ Weekend rotation -- as needed.

+ **Prefer experienced PTs for the weekend rotation; or new grads with more extensive inpatient clinical hours completed.**

+ Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy / Master’s degree preferred.

+ Current State professional license or license eligible.

+ Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required.

+ Word processing skills preferred.

+ Basic Cardiac Life Saving (BCLS) – American Heart Assoc.

+ Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; Diagnostic skills consistent with professional degree

+ Proficient with computer software programs.

+ Proficient with patient care related equipment
