    Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Hospice Supervisor

     

    As a Hospice Supervisor at MercyOne, you will provide Provides overall supervision of personnel and service operations for the Hospice House and Community Based Hospice program across 24 hours. Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures, preparation for compliance with regulatory agencies, identification of program development needs and assists in implementation. Actively participates in quality monitoring performance improvement activities. Responsible for productivity management, new staff orientation, and ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill.

    Schedule:

    + Full time 40 hours a week

    + M-F 8a- 4:30p

    + On Call a week at a time

    General Requirements:

    + Supervisory Responsibility: Large Group Responsibility (Multiple Shift): The job requires direct supervision of more than 12 employees. Job duties include the full range of supervisory activities such as hiring, training, assigning, monitoring and assessing work, promoting etc. Work involves ensuring that human resource related decisions are compatible with the organization's policies, practices and direction. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibilities for staff.

    + Materials Responsibility: Moderate: Work requires moderate responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. The employee has a moderate amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors might result in moderate damage, waste or financial loss. The difficulty, variety and depth of problems associated with these material resources is moderately

    + Key Relationships Co-workers/Health System Employees, Outside Agencies/Other Health Care Providers, General Public/Visitors/Volunteers, Physicians/Medical Office Staff, Patients, Families, and Significant Others, Third Party Payors/Insurance Companies, Auditors/Review Agencies, Students/Interns/Residents/Outside

    Education:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

    + RN License in Iowa required at time of hire. Illinois required within 6 months

    + Valid Drivers license, Auto insurance – Genesis minimum limits required

    + More than 3 years experience required.

    + BLS
