    Position Summary

    Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our hospital-employed Behavioral Health team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital setting while being supported by the stability and resources of one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients

    + Manage psychiatric conditions through evidence-based medication management and treatment planning

    + Deliver care in an inpatient and/or consult-liaison setting (based on program needs)

    + Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, therapists, hospitalists, and case management

    + Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings

    + Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

    + Comply with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all state and federal regulations

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities

    + Participate in on-call coverage as required

    Qualifications

    + MD or DO from an accredited medical school

    + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency

    + Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)

    + Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain

    + DEA license or eligibility

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based, team-oriented environment
