    WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

     

    You’ll join Nike’s Concept Creation team—a group of makers and innovators pushing boundaries in early-stage product design. This role partners with cross-functional teams and project leads, reporting to senior concept creators while collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring bold ideas to life.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Nike is looking for a hands-on innovator with a passion for turning ideas into reality. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, embraces experimentation, and brings a maker’s mindset to every challenge. They combine technical skill with creative curiosity, moving fast from concept to prototype. This role demands someone who can work independently, consult on complex projects, and communicate insights that shape future designs.

    Key Qualifications:

    + Open to work in Beaverton, OR

    + 5+ years of experience in product ideation, design, or manufacturing

    + Bachelor’s degree in Design, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

    + Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, Houdini, or comparable generative design software

    + Strong understanding of footwear construction, model making, and design for manufacturing

     

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

     

    You’ll explore, prototype, and iterate on new concepts that redefine performance and style. From physical samples to digital models, you’ll lead the making process and share insights that influence Nike’s next big ideas.

    Core Responsibilities:

    + Represent the maker perspective on cross-functional project teams

    + Independently create and refine physical prototypes for footwear, apparel, and accessories

    + Document processes to inform future iterations and team communication

    + Evaluate prototypes critically and plan next steps

    + Share progress and learnings with project stakeholders

    + Experiment with emerging technologies and new materials

    + Contribute to ideation for future concepts and making processes
