    Supply Chain Intern

    Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities

    • Processes material requisitions, complete purchase orders, and forward to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures.

    • Expedite purchase orders, secure required delivery dates and quantities.

    • Interview vendors and investigate sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards.

    • Maintain good relationship with all vendor companies and their representatives.

    • Negotiate with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials.

    • Become familiar with the material usage requirements for subsidiary operations. Assures that vendors are advised of pertinent information.

    • Becomes familiar with applicable federal and state regulations, federal priority regulations, and other rules affecting purchases. Properly applies such information in performance of job responsibilities.

    • Complete paperwork as required including price change report, debit memos, and freight claim forms.

    • Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

    Who we are looking for

    • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

    • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

    • Willingness to learn and take initiative.

    Competitive Compensation

     

    + Pay Range: $14.85/hr to $24.75/hr

    + No benefit plan eligibility
